Every creative soul needs that space where she can just be–where being in the zone comes as easily as sipping a cup of tea.

My idea of the perfect creative space is one where I can meditate, dream, read, write, ruminate, paint, cut-and-paste, and plan out meaningful changes–whether alone or with other kindred souls. If I were to design my dream home, there would be lots of greens; organic materials such as wood, bamboo, and stone; art works; mementos from travels from around the country and around the world; a library for my beloved books and magazines; a nice solid desk for writing, dreamboarding, or painting; a nice jamming area for Paul’s friends to connect with the rhythmic vibe; and a nice dining table for sharing meals with family and friends (and plotting out the next creative idea). It would have to be a clever mix of vintage and contemporary, of countryside charm and urban living; of funk and Zen.

And so, feeling all cabin fever-ish and restless, I decided to channel my inner tension into something more productive: dreamboarding! (After all, the first step to achieving something is visualizing it.) I popped in a CD of beach wave sounds (and supposedly with subliminal messages of abundance), while hubby settled into a corner of the bed and started playing his aquadrum. Once in the zone, I did one of the things I do best: CUT AND PASTE.

Here’s what it looked like in the end:

The next series of photos are a bit blurred because they came from my camera phone after the original camera died. In any case, I hope these will inspire YOU to MAKE YOUR OWN DREAMBOARD. :D

Make space

"Make space... where the living is easy"

What is space?

What is space?

Make a space for YOU

My dream space will have beautiful details--each with their own story to tell

I’ve always wanted to do one of these dreamboards in my room cause I heard that it motivates you to get to your goals easier, or something to that effect, kinda like the whole ‘The Secret’ thing.

But I never really got to making one. Hahaha.

I am a forever student, 39, but get’s more youthful by the day. It’s only lately that I have started to share what I’ve written. Maybe that has something to do with it. Creating. Expressing. Sharing. Teaching. Advocating. I am learning a lot from your posts. “Thank you” is really what I’d like to say.
